Is it unreasonable to ask for 3 pieces of content in exchange for one outfit?

We want to do barter with fashion creators — gift one ethnic outfit (value ₹2,200). Asking for 1 Reel + 2 Stories + 1 static feed post. Is that too much for one outfit? Creators keep declining.

4 pieces of content for a ₹2,200 outfit is too much — yes. That is easily 6–8 hours of work: styling, filming, editing, scheduling. Industry standard for barter in this price range is 1 Reel OR 2–3 Stories. Not both. If you want a Reel and Stories, the product value or a small cash addition should reflect that. Try 1 Reel only and you will get more takers.

We had the same issue. Cut it to 1 Reel + 1 Story, application rate tripled. The sweet spot for ethnic wear barter in the ₹1,500–₹3,000 product range: 1 Reel of 30–45 seconds and nothing else. If you want more, offer a ₹1,500–₹2,000 top-up fee.

Also: value the product at what you would have charged a customer, not your cost. A ₹2,200 outfit is worth ₹2,200 to the creator. Your margin is irrelevant to them. If a competitor brand would pay a creator ₹3,500 for the same Reel, you need to either close that gap with extra product or reduce deliverable expectations.
