Creator asked for ₹50,000 for one Reel — is that normal for 200k followers?

A creator with 200k Instagram followers and beauty niche quoted ₹50,000 for one Reel. Agency says it's reasonable. My instinct says it's too high. Who's right?

At 200k followers in beauty niche, ₹50,000 is at the high end but not unreasonable — if their engagement rate is above 3% and Reels are getting 80k+ views. The real question is CPM: ₹50,000 ÷ 80,000 views = ₹625 CPM. Compare that to Meta ads CPM of ₹150–₹400 for the same audience. The premium you're paying is authenticity and trust transfer. If their Reels average 40k views, that's ₹1,250 CPM — overpriced. Ask the creator for their average Reel reach and views before deciding. The metric that matters is reach, not followers.

Ask them for their average Reel views for the last 10 posts. If it's consistently above 80k, ₹50k is fair. If it's 25k average, it's overpriced. One number changes the entire negotiation. We went from feeling ripped off to feeling we got a deal once we saw the actual reach data.
