Creator posted but mentioned our product for literally 4 seconds in a 60-second Reel. What do I do?

Paid ₹8,500 for a Reel. Creator posted a "morning routine" video where our face wash appears for about 4 seconds with no CTA, no name mention, just a quick shot of the bottle. Not what we agreed. What are my options?

First step: compare the actual content against your written brief. If the brief said "minimum 15 seconds of product focus with name mention and CTA" and they did not deliver — that is a clear breach. Reach out calmly, share the brief, point out the gap, and ask for a reshoot or a supplemental Story series at no extra cost. Most creators will fix it.

Honest creator confession: sometimes this happens when the brand approves a routine video concept without realising the product will be secondary. For future campaigns — if you want product as the hero, say so explicitly in the brief AND approve only a product-forward content concept. Approving a "morning routine" pitch means your product might naturally become one of 8 items shown.

We now require creators to send a 1-minute voice note explaining their content concept BEFORE they film. Takes 10 minutes to review but saves us from exactly this problem. If their concept sounds like your product will be a supporting actor, redirect them before they shoot.

Also ask for a Story follow-up at no extra cost — a 3-slide Story showing the product, your key claim, and a swipe-up. It supplements the Reel, adds a direct link, and gives you real conversion data. Most creators will agree if you frame it as "completing the campaign" not "we were unhappy."
